On the North Coast it is well worth the walk out to Cromwell's Castle and the short hike uphill to King Charles Castle. Great Pool is excellent for bird watching and there are some spectacular beaches along the way around the island, including Pentle Bay, Apple Tree Bay and not forgetting Green Porth at Old Grimsby overlooked by the historic Block House. Activities The Watersports Centre on the Islands offers windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and canoeing, for both beginners and the more practised, so whatever your ability there will be an activity you can enjoy. Hiring a bike is also an option through Tresco Estate. The local sport is gig racing, and races are held each week throughout the season. Why not pamper yourself at the THERAPY SHED.
