The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company celebrated its 15th year of recognition at the Investors in People Network Club at Kingsley Village, Fraddon.
The networking event held on Wednesday 30 March brought together businesses from across Cornwall to mark their achievements in investing in staff.
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company was first awarded the Investors in People (IIP) certificate in 1995 and since then has maintained the high standard of training and development for employees.
Thanks to reviews of training programmes, appraisal processes, people management and employee feedback, the Steamship Company has retained the award for 15 years.
Steph Brown from Isles of Scilly Steamship Company (pictured with IIP employer representative Nicky Taylor) said: Weve worked really hard over the past 15 years to maintain the Investors in People standard and to be awarded the certificate again is fantastic.
Investors in People operates on the basis that skilled and motivated employees are central to the success of a business, and offers a business improvement tool and framework to help organisations develop their performance through people.
Jeff Marston, Chief Executive of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company added: We consider the IIP award a very valuable asset and we are very proud of our dedication to staff training and development and the supportive environment we create for all our employees.
