Prize winner enjoys break on St Marys
12 September 2008

12 Sep 2008
A lady from St Blazey and her friend have enjoyed a free five night stay on St Marys, courtesy of Isles of Scilly Travel and Tregarthens Hotel, after winning the prize at a competition at Royal Cornwall Show earlier this year.

Mrs Maureen Moffatt and her friend traveled to St Marys with Skybus and enjoyed five days of luxury and relaxation at the hotel.

Tregarthans Hotel was founded on 1848 by Captain Frank Tregarthen, who ran the steam packet Little Western delivering mail, provisions and visitors between Penzance and the Isles of Scilly. The hotel has played a special role in establishing the Isles of Scilly as an exclusive destination for visitors.

Mrs Moffatt thoroughly enjoyed her stay, she said: This is the fist time I have ever stayed on the Isles of Scilly and it has been absolutely fantastic. I came here about 30 years ago on a day trip and have always wondered what it would be like to stay here.

I was very lucky to win the competition and I have had a wonderful time. Everyone has looked after us so well and I cant fault anything.

After the success of this trip Isles of Scilly Travel and Tregarthans Hotel have teamed up to offer a holiday package, available until the end of October, of a 3 night break with prices starting from as little as 368* per person.
(Flights based on travel from Lands End Airport and supplements are available from Newquay, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton, dependent on availabitly) please contact Tregarthens Hotel on 01720 422 540
