Wizz Air reduced its capacity by one third in March due to travel restrictions


The airline continues to operate passenger return flights and medical equipment supplies

According to Wizz Air Holdings PLC (LON: WIZZ), capacity was reduced by 34% in March due to travel restrictions to prevent a coronavirus pandemic.

The airline carries rescue flights from Germany to Ukraine, Malta and Croatia to Northern Macedonia and from North America to Hungary to return passengers.

There are also flights between China and Hungary to deliver medical equipment.

The number of passengers dropped by almost one million compared with a comparable quarter in 2019.

Stocks fell 2% on Thursday morning to 2,058 ppt.
